Stafford Springs was established in 1719 and has approximately 12,000 residents. The town is rich with history and tradition. Years ago Stafford Springs was known throughout the lands for it's Mineral Springs and it's curative properties. The natural springs attracted many North American Indians, many new settlers and even a visit from President John Adams. Later, Stafford became famous for its textile mills where some of the world's finest cashmere is still produced today.

Stafford Springs offers its residents a variety of outdoor activities ranging from hiking up Soapstone Mountain or the Mountain Laurel Sanctuary, swimming at Staffordville Lake, or tennis at Kealy Field. Stafford Springs also displays lovely Victorian homes, historic mills, antique shops and rolling farm land with some of the most beautiful barns in New England.  There is also quaint Main Street with lovely parks, shops, restaurants, a French Bakery, coffee house, art galleries, yoga studio and much more.
